Video workshop with Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro

On July 8 2020, a video workshop was organised by UKE for the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP). The aim of the workshop was to discuss, among other things, forms of supporting the development of broadband infrastructure and educational campaigns

During the workshop, both parties presented the current situation on the telecommunications market in Poland and Montenegro. UKE experts discussed in detail the methods developed by UKE for mapping telecommunications infrastructure/services and educational campaigns conducted by UKE, which are addressed to specific social groups, such as children or the elderly. EKIP experts presented the concept of development of mobile broadband Internet and the regulatory framework for consumer protection in Montenegro.

The cooperation between regulators started in 2013, when the Memorandum of Understanding between UKE and EKIP was signed in Warsaw. Since then, UKE and EKIP experts have been in regular contact with each other to exchange expertise and information.
