Wojciech Berezowski becomes Vice-Chairman of Committee 5 during ITU Plenipotentiary Conference

He was nominated to perform the role of Vice-Chairman of Committee 5 for Policy and Legal Issues by CEPT and received support from the whole region.

The ITU Plenipotentiary Conference takes place every four years and decides on key issues for ITU, including modifications and adoption of new resolutions applicable to all member states and sector members (from the private sector).

The Committee, in which Wojciech Berezowski is involved, deals with draft resolutions on regulatory, legal and political issues within ITU competence (e.g. counteracting digital exclusion, ICT for the disabled, electromagnetic field). As part of its work the Committee will also deal with the role of ICT in humanitarian aid and due to climate changes.

Wojciech Berezowski is a law graduate at the University of Warsaw. He also studied at the universities of Regensburg and Bonn. He specializes in telecommunications law. He has worked for more than 10 years for public administration in the field of telecommunications and modern technologies. During the Polish presidency of the EU Council he was an attaché for telecommunications in the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU in Brussels. He works in Department of Foreign Affairs at UKE and is in charge of the International Organizations Unit.
