Visit of the Ukrainian National Commission for the Regulation of State Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NCEC)
On 15 June 2022 the Ukrainian National Commission for the Regulation of State Electronic Communications, Spectrum, Radio Frequencies and the Provision of Postal Services (NCEC) visited UKE. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various important topics related to electronic communications and our possible cooperation in the future.
The meeting was hosted by the UKE’s President, Mr Jacek Oko, who praised the Ukrainian people for their heroic determination and resistance to the invaders. Mr Oko also reminded us of our constant support. During the meeting the Ukraine's aspirations for the EU accession were discussed. Another important topic was the cooperation within BEREC - pursuant to the decision of the European Commission of 7 June 2022, Ukraine became a member of BEREC without the right to vote. UKE shared its knowledge and hands-on experience on the practical aspects of BEREC's work. Roaming was also high on agenda, together with the Joint Statement signed in April 2022 by the EU and Ukrainian operators. The meeting was concluded by the UKE’s President having had recalled many years of good cooperation between two regulators and our successfully implemented projects. Both parties have expressed their ability and eagerness to continue such a frutiful copperation in the future.
