Study on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of telecommunications and postal companies

SoftCream Software Sp. z o.o. has carried out a study on behalf of UKE, which aimed at assessing the status of adjustment of websites, mobile sites and applications of telecommunications and postal companies to the needs of people at risk of social exclusion.

We can talk about the existence of accessibility when people with disabilities have full access to its content, can understand it and use comfortable navigation or interaction with the website. However, people with disabilities are not the only ones who need to the information on the Internet to be accessible. A person with tired eyesight is not that different from a person who is permanently visually impaired. For both of these website users, the contrast of text to background is very important. Websites must therefore be universally accessible. With this approach, accessible websites can be used by all people.

The subjects of the study were:

- 34 websites of telecommunication entrepreneurs;

- 15 postal entrepreneurs' websites;

- 20 applications.
