The value of the Polish postal services market (PLN 16.51 billion) in 2023 increased by PLN 1.97 billion compared to 2022, reaching a growth rate of 13.6%. This growth reached double digits for another year.
The increase in the value of the market was also accompanied by a minimal increase in the overall volume of provided postal services, which reached 2.04 billion pieces in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%.
Courier shipments were the largest postal service provided in 2023, surpassing the one billion mark. Courier shipments accounted for 71.3% of the value of the postal market and 51.7% of the total volume of postal services in 2023.
The courier segment has been gradually increasing in volume over the past few years in the wake of the growth of e-commerce. Annually, this has meant increases of tens of millions of pieces and revenue increases of hundreds of millions of zlotys (PLN).
Despite its already significant value, the Polish postal services market has prospects for further growth.
