Opening ceremony of the Twinning Project

The project started with implementation in December 2017 and will last for 18 months. The main beneficiary is Georgian National Communications Commission, while the Leading Member State Partner is Lithuania, supported by the Junior Partners from Germany and Poland. The project is fully financed by the EU.
The project purpose is to conduct in-depth review of Georgian telecommunication regulatory framework, redefine relevant markets in the electronic communications sector that are susceptible to ex ante regulation, define broadband regulatory approach, conduct a feasibility study to assess the necessity of Universal Service provision, according to the EU regulatory framework and Europe 2020 strategy “The Digital Agenda for Europe”.
