Meeting of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services

Meeting of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services

On Tuesday, 28 April, a meeting of the ERGP (European Regulators Group for Postal Services) Cross-Border Issues Work Group was held at the UKE headquarters.

Alongside a representative of the German regulator (BNetzA), a representative of UKE—Przemysław Cząstka from the Postal Market Department—was nominated as a co-chair of this work group for the years 2026–2027.

This year, the Group was tasked with preparing a comprehensive report on the distribution of prohibited goods in the postal networks of EU member states. The meeting in Warsaw was devoted to discussing the Group’s final report, and to drafting and adopting conclusions and final recommendations.

The meeting in Warsaw was attended by representatives of regulatory authorities from Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Italy.

The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) is the most important platform for ongoing cooperation among EU national regulators and serves as a tool for the European Commission to ensure the effective transposition of regulatory provisions for the postal sector. Cooperation within the ERGP constitutes the most important area of UKE’s international activities in the postal services market.
