Meeting of Heads of Regulators from Neighbouring Countries: Czechia, Austria, Slovakia and Poland

The President of UKE, Przemysław Kuna, took part in a meeting with the Heads of the the Czech Telecommunications Office (ČTÚ), Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR) and the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RÚ) of Slovakia.
The meeting was held in Prague on 3–4 February 2026. Participants discussed current issues relevant for NRAs in 2026, the work on national legislation affecting the scope of regulators’ activities, matters related to frequency resources management (including the 26 GHz band), the future of the DVB‑T standard in Central Europe, as well as measures supporting network resilience and further actions in this area in each country.
The participants also reviewed the proposals included in the draft regulation on the Digital Networks Act (DNA), published by the European Commission at the end of January this year. The discussions focused on the proposed spectrum management model, changes in ex-ante regulation, the proposed process and timeline for switching-off copper networks, and changes in the governance model.
