EU Code Week 2018
26 October 2018
On 21 October, the EU Code Week, promoting the development of digital competences, came to an end. We were part of this initiative and we organized 19 events during which almost 700 people were trained. We coded, among others, at the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw, the Museum of Public Transport in Łódź and Nokia Garage in Wrocław.
The workshops were attended by children, teachers from European schools, deaf and hard-of-hearing persons as well as children with intellectual disability. During the workshop “Bridging the Generation Gap”, both older and younger programmers were helping the alien ScottieGo. Coding has neither language nor age related barriers. Cooperation develops creative thinking, shapes imagination and stimulates thought processes.
