Office of Electronic Communications undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

The declaration on accessibility shall apply to the uke.gov.pl website.

The website is partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the following inconsistencies or exclusions:

  1. There may be situations that, despite the efforts of the editors of the website, certain documents published on the page are unavailable due to the fact that:
    • They come from various sources,
    • They have been published on the basis of rules adopted in another institution,
    • They were published before the Act on digital accessibility came into effect.
  2. Some content was published on the website with graphics that contain text, due to the fact that the content on the graphics was necessary for effective communication of a given issue;
  3. The website may contain videos for which subtitles have not yet been added. Subtitles are being added gradually;
  4. Some of the articles within the website contain externally supplied attachments in the form of graphic PDF documents (scans) inaccessible to screen readers.

In this case, in order to read its content, please:

  • Use the free RoboBraille or OCRO tool to read the content of the scan or,
  • contact with us – we will try to provide the necessary content of the indicated document.

The declaration was made on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by a public entity.

The uke.gov.pl website undergoes a minimum of one accessibility study per year as part of the Accessibility Report made by “Widzialni” Foundation.

The same channels can be used to submit requests for inaccessible information and to file complaints about  the failure to provide accessibility.

Anyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or some element thereof to be ensured. It is also possible to request access to information in alternative forms, such as reading of a digitally inaccessible document, describing the contents of a film without audio description, etc. The request should include the contact details of the person submitting
the request, an indication concerning which website or mobile application is being requested, and
a method of contact. If the requesting person expresses the need to receive information in an alternative form, they should also specify the form of such information.

The Office of Electronic Communications shall execute the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, UKE shall inform immediately when it will be possible to execute the request, but the deadline cannot be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, UKE may propose an alternative way to access the information.

In the case of refusal to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information,
a complaint may be filed against such action.

After having exhausted all possibilities, a complaint may also be sent to the Commissioner For Human Rights.
